LULA LÁ, LULA AQUI: MUDANÇAS DISCURSIVAS NO PERÍODO COMPREENDIDO ENTRE A CONDIÇÃO DE CANDIDATO E DE PRESIDENTE DA REPÚBLICA

Abstract

This research consists of a discussion based on Lula s political speech supported by the theory of the Speech Analysis from Michel Pechêux. It works on the hypothesis that in the period of time from his position as a candidate to his real democratic election to President of Brazil some significant changes had been occurred. That said, this research tries to explain the speech mechanisms of the being used by him and also identify his social/political history then relate them to the events which they are engaged. For that purpose, fragments of the TV election period debates, interviews obtained during the previous week to the election in the years of 1998, 2002 and 2006 and also some of his speech in the years of 2003 and 2007, when he was finally elected. This chosen corpora for the following dissertation works with the possibility of identifying the different beings assumed by the subject - the president that can demonstrate those changes mentioned above toward his politic identity
